Graduate as a real
music producer.

Every skill is taught at the exact moment you need it — not as theory you memorise, but as something you immediately use to make music.

01
Produce Afrobeats From Scratch
Build full tracks — drums, bass, chords, melody, arrangement — without step-by-step guidance by the end of the program.
02
Master Logic Pro
Navigate Logic Pro with total confidence. Edit, arrange, automate, mix — every workflow a professional producer uses daily.
03
Understand Music Theory
Learn only the theory that matters for Afrobeats — notes, keys, chords, progressions, and how to hear music the way producers hear it.
04
Build 9 Drum Pattern Styles
Classic Afrobeat, Afroswing, Highlife, Ghana Bounce, Afro Piano, Reggaeton, Dancehall and more — a full toolkit of rhythmic styles.
05
Record Vocals Professionally
Set up sessions, record clean takes, comp performances, and process vocals to sit in a professional mix.
06
Work With Artists
Learn producer etiquette, split agreements, how to send beats, and how to build long-term relationships in the music industry.

14 modules. 4 months.
Zero fluff.

Everything is sequenced deliberately — each module builds on the last. Skills are introduced at the exact moment you need them, not before.

Questions answered.

Do I need any prior experience to join?
+
No. The program is designed for absolute beginners as well as producers who already have some experience but want proper structure. You don't need to know music theory, how to use Logic Pro, or have made a single beat before. All of that is covered from the ground up.
What equipment do I need for the online program?
+
For online students: a Mac laptop or desktop, Logic Pro (available on the Mac App Store), headphones or studio monitors, and a stable internet connection. A MIDI keyboard is helpful but not required — all lessons can be completed with a mouse or trackpad. Logic Pro is the primary DAW for this course.
What does the physical program include that online doesn't?
+
Physical students work inside the Afrobeat Academy studio in Lagos — on iMacs with Logic Pro, MIDI keyboards, acoustic treatment, and studio monitors. You also get direct, in-person access to O.Y Productions every session. The curriculum is the same as the online program, but the environment and access level is different.
Is there a payment plan available?
+
The listed prices are for full payment which secures your spot immediately. If you need a payment plan, reach out to us on WhatsApp and we will discuss options on a case-by-case basis. Payment plan arrangements are confirmed before enrollment is finalised.
When does the class start after I pay?
+
After payment you will receive a confirmation with your welcome pack, course materials, and your class start date. We run batches — your enrollment holds your spot in the next available cohort. You will be notified of the exact start date within 48 hours of payment.
What software does the course use?
+
The primary DAW is Logic Pro for Mac. All lessons and project files are built in Logic Pro. The principles taught transfer to other DAWs (FL Studio, Ableton, Pro Tools) but the hands-on demonstrations use Logic Pro exclusively.
Will I get a certificate?
+
Yes. Students who complete all 14 modules and submit their final capstone project receive an Afrobeat Academy Certificate of Completion from O.Y Productions.
